Abstract

This research article provides a comprehensive and analytical study of the contemporary Syrian migration crisis through an Islamic and theological lens. The onset of civil war and foreign interventions in 2011 not only plunged Syria into the century's gravest humanitarian disaster but also forced millions of innocent Muslims into exile. Drawing upon the Quran and Sunnah, this paper examines the core philosophy of migration (Hijrah) and the sacred geopolitical status of the Levant (Bilad al-Sham). It delves into the primary objectives of Syrian refugees—such as securing life, faith, and a stable future—while evaluating the economic, demographic, psychological, and cultural impacts on both the Muslim Ummah and the global community. The findings indicate that the Syrian crisis has exposed the diplomatic and ethical shortcomings of modern Muslim states, emphasizing the urgent need to revitalize the historical model of Muwakhat-e-Madinah. Ultimately, the study proposes actionable recommendations for fostering solidarity among Muslim nations and implementing frameworks for the permanent rehabilitation, education, and legal protection of refugees.
