Replacing Legacy Fighter F-16 with JF-17: National Security of Pakistan, Economic Revival and Diplomacy

Pakistan's security environment is defined by border conflicts, political instability, cyber vulnerabilities, terrorism, and socioeconomic concerns. Aerial dominance is considered a vital element in modern combat. Although Pakistan Airforce is equipped with modern technologies and Aircrafts like Mirage, F-7, J-10, J-35, Electronic Warfare, Transport and various trainers Aircrafts but it utilizes two principal fighter aircrafts the F-16 and the JF-17, both essential for national defense and strategic deterrence. This article offers a comparative examination of the two aircraft to evaluate their operational capabilities and performance. It further investigates whether the JF-17 has the capability to ultimately supplant the F-16 in the Pakistan Air Force. This article assesses the export potential of the JF-17 Aircraft in the International Market. It ascertains Pakistan diplomatic ties through defense agreements and improvement of state economy.
