Abstract

The provided abstract examine electoral reforms in Pakistan between 2018 and 2022. It notes that while Pakistan has seen successful civilian power transfer since 2008. Recent years have been marked by increasing political division regarding the electoral process. The study focuses on to primary areas of contention between the PTI led government and the opposition. The election commission of Pakistan concerned over using new technology in upcoming elections in the broader impact of these reforms on democratic norms. Using a mixed methods approach, the research analyzes the perspectives of political elites and identifies barriers to the election commission of Pakistan effectiveness, ultimately offering recommendations for implementing fair and efficient electoral reforms.
