This report examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data in advancing women’s digital entrepreneurship in Pakistan. Drawing on empirical literature and current policy and industry developments, the study situates the discussion in the historical context of women’s entrepreneurship and technology in Pakistan, reviews present-day innovations and programmes, and anticipates future trajectories and implications. It analyses how AI and big data offer transformative potential through enabling market insights, automation, digital platforms, and decision-support tools but also considers structural impediments such as the digital gender divide, limited digital literacy, socio-cultural barriers, and infrastructural constraints. Using a critical lens, this report highlights how despite policy commitments and burgeoning initiatives, Pakistani women entrepreneurs face distinct challenges in leveraging AI and data-driven tools. It concludes with practical recommendations for policymakers, industry players, and civil society to enhance digital inclusion, build capacity, create enabling ecosystems, and align AI/big-data adoption with gender-responsive frameworks. The conclusions underscore that while the potential is substantial, realising it requires concerted, context-sensitive action to ensure that AI and big data contribute to inclusive entrepreneurship rather than exacerbating existing inequalities.
