Childhood leadership development is a gradual and continuous process with manners, positive discipline, parental involvement, education and safe moral and religious guidance. This study examines the impact of these interwoven factors on the development of leadership attributes in children and acknowledges that leadership is not a birthright, but a learned behaviour that is fostered by carefully designed experiences. The approach taken was a qualitative description analysis using secondary data of academic literature, child development theory and international educational frameworks. Research shows that young people raised in positive environments, with clear behavioural norms and emotional support are more likely to have increased self-esteem, self-assurance, communication, social adaptability and responsibility. Respect, politeness, gratitude and cooperation are the characteristics of good manners which lay the foundations of good interpersonal relationships as a form of leadership. Positive discipline improves self-control and decision-making skills through guidance, not punishment, and facilitates learning. Parental involvement and teacher support further enhance behaviour and emotional development by keeping them well monitored and well role modelled. When properly structured and child protective, moral and religious education is a contributing factor to ethical awareness. The study further emphasizes the need for child protection in schools to create safe, supportive and violence-free learning environments. A model for CARE leadership is suggested considering the findings, which combines character building, active participation, reflection and moral guidance. The study finds that an integrated approach from parents, teachers and institutions is necessary to cultivate responsible, confident and ethically responsible leaders.
