Alprazolam, a widely prescribed benzodiazepine, is commonly used for the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders. However, its potential for misuse has become a significant public health concern. This research has been conducted among a 100 people to examine the patterns of alprazolam misuse and the level of awareness surrounding its proper use among both users and healthcare professionals. Through surveys with individuals who have used alprazolam, the study highlights prevalent misuse behaviors, such as non-medical use and prescription diversion, it also explores the gaps in education and awareness regarding the risks of addiction, overdose, and dependence.
