A Analytical Study of Love and Mysticism in the Poetry of Hameed Baba

The renowned classical poet Abdul Hameed comes from group of Pashto poets, who, besides having a unique taste in Pashto poetic tradition, had commendable command on Persian literary as well. So, mostly he comes up with unusual ideas, poetic sublimity, and selection of words, that seems purely of his own and never borrowed in its totality from other languages. This paper focuses upon the metaphysical definition, structure, impact, and reaction of love,
terminologically called, Ishq. Consequently, the spiritual status of love or spiritual love has been focused upon, supporting, and defining it with his own verses, derived from his Deewan. An attempt has been made to explore some hidden horizons of the topic with the help of his poetic thoughts.
