Sectarian violence remains a persistent social problem in District Kurram, affecting social cohesion, economic stability, psychological wellbeing, and access to essential services. This study examines the impacts of sectarian violence on residents of Upper, Central, and Lower Kurram using a mixed-methods approach. A total of 155 questionnaires were administered through random sampling, and five in-depth interviews were conducted to explore lived experiences. Quantitative data were analyzed using the Chi-square test, while qualitative data were thematically analyzed to contextualize statistical findings. Results indicate that sectarian violence significantly disrupts community cohesion, restricts mobility, weakens livelihoods, and increases fear, trauma, and mistrust among residents. The study concludes that sectarian violence is a multidimensional social problem requiring integrated structural, psychological, and policy interventions.
