Abstract

The motivation for the study is to investigate how digitalization of processes can facilitate corruption prevention, corruption reduction and sustainable development. Corruption causes misutilization of resources and lowers the pace of development. A lot of resources are not used for the allocated purpose and misutilised by concerned authorities for personal benefit. For this purpose, Qualitative descriptive-explanatory methodology has been used. Reputable academic publications, books, and articles provided the data, which was analyzed using an interpretivist methodology. The findings of the study suggest that digitalization can significantly contribute for prevention and reduction of corruption and to improve the pace of sustainable development. Findings of the research will improve to understand practitioners how digitalization can contribute for prevention and reduction of corruption and sustainable development. On the basis of understanding strategies can be formulated and implemented to implement digitalization to prevent and reduce corruption and enhance sustainable development.
