Abstract

This research investigates child abuse in District Sanghar and Shaheed Benazirabad in a qualitative
research framework. Through 12 interviews with the doctors and 12 interviews with the family
members from each of the two districts, the research aims at mapping out the sociological aspect
of the child abuse as well as have an understanding of the victim’s experiences and perceptions. In
line with Maxwell (2012), the data is analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key themes of
the kinship, cultural, and systemic concerns. The results underscore the necessity of multi-proposal
solution and legislative amendments to prevent child abuse in these areas.
