Assessing the OIC's Role in the Palestine Conflict: Impact, Challenges, and Limitations

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation was formed to promote harmony and protect the interests and rights of Muslims around the world. The objective of this article is to critically examine the role of OIC to protect the interests of the Muslims and foster international peace. This study aims to critically assess the OIC's body and its role in advocacy of the Palestine conflict and what restraints it bears which limited its role to influence this conflict. Through an analysis of its structure, objectives, and operations, this study explores the reasons behind the OIC's shortcomings and its achievements in fields such as trade, cultural cooperation, and education. Key research objectives include examining whether the OIC has fulfilled its initial goals and its handling of the Palestine Conflict. The paper concludes with the recommendations for strengthening the OIC to better serve the needs of the Muslim world and strengthen its influence globally.
